Learning Environments supports the Echo360 Lecture Capture system. The system records audio and visual content from presentations in over 150 theatres and other supported venues across the University. This service is automatically accessible for centrally timetabled lectures and also available for public events and conferences.

New Lecture Capture experience 2018
As of 19 February 2018, the University launched a new version of the Lecture Capture system (Echo 360). The new version provides a range of additional functionality which will help enhance student learning and staff usability.

Institutional usage, copyright content and intellectual property, and the recorded lecture guidelines.
Staff are welcome to request a recording of teaching activities or wider University activities. Once processed, a recording will be generated and accessible from the requesting staff member's Lecture Capture Library.
Following Academic Board endorsement, as of 2016 the University follows an opt-out model for the Lecture Capture service.

Echo360 Personal Capture
Need to record content outside a lecture theatre? Echo360 Personal Capture lets you record content anywhere, any time, using a personal computer. Students can stream or download your recordings at their convenience using the LMS.
